Blogger points out discrepancy between the German Tesla Model Y and the Chinese-made one
British YouTuber RSymons RSEV posted a video in which he tells the differences between Tesla Model Y electric vehicles produced at the American company's new factory in Germany and off the assembly line at Tesla's factory in Shanghai (China).
The blogger himself owns the Tesla Model Y Long Range, produced in Shanghai, but believes that the Model Y, launched in Germany, has a number of advantages, albeit small. For example, RSymons RSEV claims the German version of the Model Y offers a more comfortable ride despite the larger 21-inch wheels. He also noted the excellent white color quality of the electric car, although the Model Y released in China is also painted very well.
According to the source, for the layout of the interior of the Model Y, launched in Germany, slightly better materials were used, in addition to a higher quality speaker system with a different amplifier than the one installed in the Chinese model.
While the front seats on both models are identical in appearance, the German-made Model Y offers better lateral support. Another difference is that a new shelf was installed in the trunk of the German Model Y.
The YouTuber noted that all these improvements may appear in the near future on Chinese Model Y electric vehicles. However, at the moment, the German-made electric car is the best Tesla Model Y assembled at different production sites.
