Croatian company starts large-scale production of the Nevera super sports car

Founded in 2009, the Croatian company Rimac Automobili managed not only to marry Porsche and Bugatti, but also to start series production of the Nevera hypercars, equipped with four electric motors with a total output of 1914 hp. and accelerate to 100 km/h in 1.86 seconds. The manufacturer will produce 50 cars annually, the first-year edition is already sold out and the cost of an electric car reaches US$ 2.4 million.

As Rimac explains, Nevera took five years to develop, with three generations of power plants replacing each other, 18 prototypes were created and 45 physical crash tests were carried out. The total labor costs for creating this hypercar exceeded 1.6 million man-hours. Previously, the company promised to produce 150 cars of this model, and will be able to assemble 50 copies a year. The first of Nevera's assembled hypercars, which was shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the company will keep as a demo and promotional car. It takes five weeks to build a hypercar, and the first customer cars are now in production.

The Rimac dealer network has 25 points of sale in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The company manufactures the main components of the plant itself, it also developed them, including the traction battery, electric motors, inverters and gearbox. Each of the 150 hypercars produced promises to be unique thanks to the wide range of customization options that are the norm for a $2.4 million car. According to the EPA cycle, the Rimac Nevera electric car is capable of traveling 462 km on a single charge, the maximum speed reaches 415 km/h.
