NISSAN X-TRAIL 2023 REVELADO NO JAPÃO

2023 Nissan X-Trail revealed to Japanese public

The 2023 Nissan X-Trail has just been presented in Japan.

The new SUV was shown with specifications for its domestic market. Specifically, with an electric motor powered by electricity generated through a gasoline engine, that is, with the e-POWER system.

It is a powerful, smooth and silent propulsion system, according to the brand. This technology allows combustion mechanics to always operate within their optimal range to maximize efficiency.

In this way, fuel consumption and emissions are reduced compared to a normal vehicle with an internal combustion engine. The X-Trail is not the first model of the brand that incorporates this solution, since the Qashqai and Kicks also have this e-POWER system.

The base X-trail has a front-wheel drive configuration and uses the same 1.5-liter combustion engine as the Qashqai. The car also comes with the e-Pedal, which increases retention when releasing the accelerator pedal, which allows driving with a single pedal, almost without touching the brake pedal.

Available in Japan with two or three rows of seats, the new SUV is equipped with a 100 V battery and a maximum power of 1,500 watts. Nissan claims it is powerful enough to be used as an emergency power source.

In addition, the X-Trail features a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a similar-sized infotainment touchscreen, plus an optional 10.8-inch Head-up Display.

The price in Japan starts at 3,198,800 yen (about 129,000 reais at current exchange rates) and goes up to 4,499,000 yen (181,500 reais).

The 2WD model is offered exclusively with two rows of seats and the 12 exterior colors available include 5 two-tone finishes. Inside, Nappa fabric and leather upholstery is offered along with Nissan's own water-repellent Tailor Fit and Cell-Cloth.
