ESTE É O CHEVROLET COLORADO 2023: MAIS POTÊNCIA, MAIS TECNOLOGIA E MAIOR CAPACIDADE

American brand presented this week the Chevrolet Colorado 2023

The American brand presented this week the Chevrolet Colorado 2023. The model, which will be manufactured in Wentzville, Missouri, will arrive at dealerships in the first half of 2023. As with its renewed rivals, the pick-up arrives with more power, capacity, innovation and technology.

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is based on a new platform. It features a wheelbase of 3,338 mm (79 mm). But that doesn't translate to a more spacious cabin. Legroom on the front seats increases by just 5 mm, while that on the rear seats is reduced by 28 mm.

Where there are positive changes is in the design, with a robust aesthetic marked by sharp lines and more muscular elements. It inherits part of the Chevrolet Silverado's DNA, but with its own personality. We see, for example, slender headlights and a distinctive grille with a single bar that ends at the front.

Designers gave the pick-up a voluminous hood and fenders in pure Silverado style. They are joined by a more traditional waistline. The rear view features a modern design, featuring an athletic bumper with side steps. The bucket is really equipped for everyday work.

There are eight cargo lashings, two slots for motorcycle/bicycle wheels and a variety of pouches to allow for multi-level storage. Other standout features include a 110V power outlet and a tailgate that stops in the middle to help transport longer items.

Undoubtedly, the most eye-catching feature of the back cover is an integrated, airtight storage compartment. It can act as a cooler and as a storage space. It measures 1,143 mm wide and 101 mm deep. The Colorado 2023 is only available in a short bed crew cab configuration.

Chevrolet interiors have come a long way in the last decade. The Colorado 2023 echoes this trend and now features higher quality and more technology. It comes standard with an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.3-inch Google infotainment system.

Buyers will also find a new all-terrain information screen, which is essentially an app that offers real-time vehicle information. There are a wide variety of settings, including Low which shows ‘G’ force, transfer case status and a wheel slip indicator.

The dashboard design is new, as is the center console. In terms of equipment, you can count on keyless access, a six-speaker audio system, storage under the rear seat, electrically adjustable leather seats and heating, induction smartphone charger and dual-zone climate control, among other things.

Under the hood of the new pick-up is a newly developed 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It's the same one that equips Silverado. It is offered with three power levels. The range starts with 240 hp and 351 Nm of torque as standard in the WT and LT finishes. Trail Boss and Z71 terminations deliver a figure of 314 hp and 528 Nm of torque.

Lastly, the Colorado ZR2 comes with a high-performance version of the 4-cylinder turbo engine that develops 314 hp and 582 Nm of maximum torque. The three engines are mated to a second-generation 8-speed automatic transmission. It promises smoother gear changes and faster descents.

Along with the power improvement, the off-road capability improves. The new Trail Boss version has a 51mm lift kit, all-wheel drive and a wider track than the WT, LT and Z71. They are joined by a limited-slip differential and 18-inch aluminum wheels.

The wheels are shod with 32-inch off-road tires. This gives it 241mm of ground clearance, as well as entry, exit and ventral angles of 30.5, 22.4 and 21 degrees respectively. Nor is it missing up to 10 different camera views, including one under the bodywork.

The Colorado ZR2 features a 76mm lift, Multimatic DSSV shocks, 33-inch tires and 272mm of ground clearance. The all-terrain also includes specific bumpers to improve entry, exit and ventral dimensions to 38.3, 25.1 and 24.6 degrees, respectively.

Depending on the model, buyers will find up to five different driving modes: Normal, Tow/Haul, Off-Road, Terrain (for cruising over rocks at low speeds) and Low. With the access motor, the towing capacity is 1,588 kg, while the performance versions can tow up to 3,493 kg.

In terms of driving and safety assistance, the Hitch Guidance, Hitch View and Trailering app for trailers stand out; Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Alert, IntelliBeam Headlights, Lane Keeping Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, etc.
