Goodwood Speed ​​Festival 2022: British company specialized in hydrogen propulsion systems, revealed the production version of the Apricale hypercar

A Viritech, a British company specialized in hydrogen propulsion systems, revealed the production version of the Apricale hypercar. It is a model with FCEV system, with less than 1 ton and body designed by Pininfarina. Premiere at the Goodwood Speed ​​Festival will be on sale at the start of 2024.

The reduced weight of Apricale justifies the use of composite materials and a graphite resin system, along with two hydrogen tanks that are a structural component of the carbon fiber monocoque chassis. The fuel cell and the small lithium-ion battery cells with 6 kWh are responsible for supplying energy to the motors (one in each case with 400 kW/544 hp, or that allows it to have integral traction). The objective is to shoot at 560 km of autonomy before refueling the 5.4 kg/700 bar hydrogen tanks. Viritech says that it is possible to supply the car in just a minute.

The hypercar is equipped with a triangle suspension superimposed on both sides with pull-rod torsion bars. They are made of carbon with 390 mm discs and AP Racing calipers (six not on the front and four on the back). The system delivers a total of 1,088 hp and 1,000 Nm, which, according to the manufacturer, allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 322 km/h.

O Apricale tem 4,550 mm of compression, 1,900 mm in length and 1,150 mm in height. Compared to the original prototype, this version of the production traces a new front, with a redone LED lighting fixture, larger frame inputs and an F1-style handle. In the back, highlight for the sharpened LED headlights, integrated spoiler, double barbeque without roof and padrão colmeia in blue without diffuser. Also stand out for these wheels in Dymag carbon fiber with magnesium center and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.

Production will be limited to 25 units and will be made with the help of Pininfarina. The Britânicos da Autocar advance that the price will come to us 1.45 million pounds sterling before two imposts.
