Singer Turbo Study reinterprets the Porsche 964
Earlier this year, the Porsche classic model expert presented the Singer Turbo Study, a modern reinterpretation of the Porsche 964. This creation attracted a lot of attention, which encouraged the company to reveal an even more extreme version. Singer has just presented a new, more powerful and sporty Turbo Study, a version with more than 500 hp and a series of important improvements. The first Singer Turbo Study featured a carbon fiber body in Wolf Blue with a Malibu Sand interior. This new model also features a carbon body, but in Turbo White with green stripes on the top and the tank filler neck in the center of the front hood. The interior now sports analogue gauges and a classic-style steering wheel along with Houndstooth Grun fabric upholstery on the doors and carbon fiber seats. Air conditioning and an induction charging point are also included.
Hidden under the rear hood is an air-cooled 6-cylinder boxer engine with a capacity of 3.8 liters. It has two turbo compressors, custom-made intercooler and electronic wastegates. To power the intercoolers, Singer designed characteristic shark fin-shaped air intakes located in front of the rear wheel arches. The Singer Turbo Study has a base power of 450 hp. However, customers can specify if they want even more performance and this particular example reaches 510 hp. Singer also offers buyers the possibility to choose between rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and they can also equip a 6-speed manual transmission. In addition to the new look and improved power, the reinvented Singer Turbo Study has evolved in other areas as well. For example, it includes a specific braking system with improved power, ABS and traction control. Buyers have access to a full customization program, where they can choose from luxurious finishes or a more extreme approach with reduced weight.
For now, Singer has not disclosed Turbo Study prices. Each vehicle will receive its own treatment and will have a specific cost. The company reported that more than 70 customers have already booked these modifications.
