DS 7 Crossback: refinement and cutting-edge technology

A design reinforced by defined lines and illuminated by the DS Pixel LED Vision 3.0 and DS Light Veil...The new character of the DS 7 has undergone significant alterations on the front and back. Remaining elegant, the new DS 7 presents more dynamism, with more defined lines, more structure and a very coherent design.
A completely new front stands out with sharper lines, which develop the balance of each element. A specific job was carried out thanks to the close relationship between the team of DS Design Studio Paris and our production team at the factory in Mulhouse (France), obtaining exceptional results in terms of quality and solidity.
The light assignment has evolved for a visual that is even more expressive. The combination of two new headlamps plus the DS Pixel LED Vision 3.0 and the DS Light Veil daytime running lights is perfect and realized in the spirit of haute-couture.
As DS Wings and the higher grades and the lower panel were redesigned with a new range of cores (depending on the versions).
The LED rear lights, thinner, with a vortex effect, are also redone with a dark metallic finish. Realization of the unique expression of the new DS 7. DS Pixel LED Vision 3.0...O DS Pixel LED Vision 3.0 introduces a new technology that increases an additional dimension to the model. The new Pixel modules of DS 7 stand out for the optimization of the management of the luminous flux, maintaining, at the same time, the three identity modules that appear in the entire range. The Pixel function will provide optimal lighting. The luminous flux is more powerful and more regular, with a range that increases to 380 meters (high beams). At less than 50 km/h, the length of the feixe is now 65 meters. No interior: two modules of means/lights of presence illuminate together. In the outdoor area, or maximum pixel feixe module, it has 84 LED elements, arranged in three rows. The lighting in the curve is controlled by the intensity of two external LEDs of the Pixel module, depending on the angle of the direction.
DS Light Veil...The daytime running lights are inspired by the work done on DS X E-TENSE and DS Aero Sport Lounge. Light seems to travel through the body cord. O DS Light Veil is made up of a continuous daytime light and four vertical lighting elements, made up of 33 LEDs. This innovation is the result of the manufacturing process: a laser-engraved polycarbonate surface and painted on the inside to give an appearance that alternates between light and elements of the bodywork. It creates an effect of depth and luminosity like a piece of jewelry. A DS Light Veil turns on and off when the car is locked and unlocked.
A better French expertise for lovers of two more beautiful materials... Just like the major Parisian fashion houses, DS Automobiles pays special attention to the choice of materials and the way in which they are treated. Through two stoves and two interiors, the new DS 7 has been created an environment to make each trip unique.
At the height of refinement, the new DS 7 Opera is proposed with two colors of Nappa leather: black Basalt and grey Pearl. High-performance gasoline/electric hybrid and multi-energy engines...Multi-energy brand with the lowest CO2 emissions in Europe, in the last two years, and Formula E Champion, DS Automobiles opted to offer the new DS 7 with various types of engines, including a range of three plug-in hybrid units with 225, 300 and 360 hp of power.
The new DS 7 E-TENSE 225 has a PureTech 180 gasoline engine and a 110 hp electric motor, coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission, being intended to drive on both wheels.
The new DS 7 E-TENSE 4x4 300 and the new DS 7 E-TENSE 4x4 360 introduced four-wheel drive with a PureTech 200 engine, as well as with electric motors of 110 and 112 hp in each of two gears. The 360 version has a specific regulation of DS Performance.
A new 14.2 kWh battery allows driving up to 65 kilometers with zero emissions in the mixed WLTP cycle and up to 81 kilometers in the urban cycle. The charging time is about two hours with a 7.4 kW charger.
A 130 BlueHDi drive is also available in the range. Outside of Europe, the PureTech gasoline engines with 130, 215 and 225 hp of power are also available.

A new large 12-inch digital instrument panel, with fabrics that can be altered and customized, features revamped graphics with all vital information, such as power flow in plug-in hybrid versions.
Unique technology for the segment...O new DS 7 also introduces technologies for greater comfort and relaxation, such as DS Active Scan Suspension and DS Night Vision.
