BENTLEY
Interestingly, this isn't the first time we've seen the Flying Spur S. A video of the model accidentally found its way onto Bentley's official website during the launch of the Continental GT and GTC S last week. We're talking about a new trim level, so don't expect too many visual differences from existing members of the Flying Spur lineup.
From the outside, the S is characterized by gloss black finishes throughout the body: on the grille, air intakes, side grilles, mirrors, exhaust pipes, except for the Bentley trim, badge and lettering. The S version features two unique 21" or 22" alloy wheel options, red brake calipers and an S badge on the front fenders. The headlights and taillights are darkened for a sportier look.
Inside, hand-stitched leather combined with Dinamica suede on the steering wheel, shift knob and seats. Sport seats feature additional padding and the S badge or Bentley wings embroidered on the headrests. Other details include new dashboard graphics borrowed from the Continental GT Speed, an S badge on the dash and illuminated Bentley S sills.
Unlike the Continental GT and Bentayga, where the S variant is only available with a V8 engine, the Flying Spur S offers a variant between a V8 and a hybrid. The first is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with 550 hp. The hybrid combines a 2.9-liter V6 with a 536-hp electric motor. and a torque of 750 Nm, accelerating to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The car also gets a range of 41 km and the most economical Bentley title.
The numbers above are identical to the non-S models, but the luxury sedan's sporty character is enhanced by Bentley's Dynamic Ride 48V and the standard four-wheel electronic steering that comes standard with the S badge. a redesigned sports exhaust while Hybrid S owners will have to make do with simple audio enhancements in sports mode.
The entire S range of the Continental GT/GTC S, Flying Spur S, Bentayga S will be showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2022, June 23-26. Low models will join the famous hill climb.
