Tesla and Honda did not rank American-Made this year in the US

In this year's American-Made ranking compiled by Cars.com, two automakers dominated the top ten – Honda and Tesla. We occupy other positions, leaving little space for other companies. It is always interesting to see which brands and models are part of this annual list.

Honda dominates this year with the Passport, Ridgeline, Odyssey and Pilot models among the top ten in the aforementioned ranking.

The American Tesla conquered more than four places like Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y, like the crossover ModelY and Model3 sedan occupying the first two places on the list.

Completing the top ten is the premium Lincoln Corsair, which rose from 64th place to 3rd, and the Jeep Cherokee, which was in 7th place, down from 4th. Four Honda vehicles will enter the 2021 list, more or less competing for vague innovations in 2022. Tesla also had Model 3 and Model Y on last year's list, with two other models joining this year.

Honda is still strongly represented when you expand the list, with three Acura models, MDX, RDX and TLX, forming the index. General Motors also has three cars on the list, and there are three more models from Ford Motor Company - the new Bronco, Ranger and Expedition. At Cars.com I studied the assembly location of the model, the composition of the parts, the origin of the engine, the origin of the transmission and the labor force of manufacturing in the USA.
