F1 22 racing simulator shows Lance Stroll virtually at home track with his Aston Martin AMR22
Publisher Electronic Arts and development studio Codemasters have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for their F1 22 racing simulator. The video is dedicated to the imminent start of the Canadian Grand Prix in Formula 1.
The released video lasts two and a half minutes and is dedicated to one of the main innovations of F1 22, which found no place in the recent trailer for the game's main features – the VR mode.
For the allotted time, Canadian Formula 1 driver Lance Stroll manages to run on his home track in his Aston Martin AMR22 for a lap and a half and lose several positions in relation to his rivals.
What is happening is shown in VR mode. Claustrophobia of sitting in a cramped cockpit, fireballs passing by at breakneck speed – according to the developers, their version of the game has never been closer to the real Formula 1.
F1 22 will go on sale July 1st for PC (Steam, Origin, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, but the Champions Edition includes early access to the game starting June 28th. VR support will be exclusive to the PC version.
