PORSCHE 911 SAFARI SPORTSMAN BY RUSSELL BUILT: PRONTO PARA A AVENTURA

Porsche 911 Baja Russell Built Fabrication: on an adventure pace

The American company Russell Built Fabrication, which surprised at the 2019 SEMA Show with a spectacular Porsche 911 Baja, has just presented its latest creation, in this case based on a 964-generation Porsche 911.

Thanks to a package that the brand itself calls Safari Sportsman and which is less aggressive than the Baja, this classic Porsche 911 964 becomes an all-terrain alternative with an adventurous aspect that is quite interesting.

While its appearance isn't particularly zany, it has a 911 Turbo 964 feel to it, thanks to a flared body that creates more space for all the new components installed in the vehicle.

Russell Built has carried out a number of modifications, including an increased wheelbase and suspension changes such as new King Shocks.

In fact, Russell Built assures that the rear axle of this 911 offers a suspension travel of 25.4 centimeters. New bushings, bearings, suspension arms and EXE-TC shock absorbers were also fitted to the front axle.

The package in question can be fitted to a standard 964, although the specialist offers a preparation for those customers looking for more power, offering from the 3.8-liter boxer 6-cylinder engine with a slight improvement, to a 4.0-liter block that reaches 406 hp. Improvements to the transmission are also available.

The preparer also offers a wide range of components and accessories, which includes, for example, two different roof bars, one made of carbon fiber and the other more traditional, tubular-style.

The customer can also install a safety bar, undershields, an air compressor, rally style auxiliary lights and tubular steel bumpers. The starting price of this 964 Safari Sportsman is $135,000, we assume just for the conversion.
