BSTC-Performance makes the MB AMG GT R even more brutal
BS Teile Center is a German store specializing in the sale of second-hand components and spare parts for Mercedes-Benz models, in particular Mercedes-AMG. And its prep division, BSTC-Performance, has just unveiled its latest project.
The preparation in question is based on the Affalterbach-based super sports car, the Mercedes-AMG GT R, which BSTC decided to fill with components from the GT R Pro, also including a series of modifications to the powerful V8 biturbo engine.
As standard, the GT R hides the well-known 4.0 V8 biturbo engine under the hood in its 585 hp version, but BS Teile Center has installed new Weistec Engineering W.4 turbochargers, among other improvements, achieving a maximum power of 903 hp.
Among the modifications are an 'ARMA' carbon fiber intake, Wagner radiators, IPE exhaust system with 200-cell sports catalytic converters and a reinforced clutch that allows the transmission to digest such an increase in power.
BS Teile Center took the opportunity to install many exterior elements of the GT R Pro, the circuit-focused version that was unveiled at the end of 2018, on the model, such as the bumpers, side skirts and rear diffuser, among other things.
Also inherited from the GT R Pro are the 20-inch wheels in a matte titanium gray finish and shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, as well as the black brake calipers with AMG inscription.
This BSTC creation is even more impressive in numbers than the AMG GT Black Series, which is the most brutal version of the line, thanks to its 4.0-litre flat-crankshaft V8 biturbo engine, which as standard offers 730 horsepower and 800 Nm of maximum torque.
It is true that the BSTC GT R does not have the aerodynamic components of the Black Series, such as the adjustable rear spoiler, but in compensation it offers about 200 hp of additional power.
