Company in partnership with Google Cloud develops line of electric bikes

Harley-Davidson unexpectedly entered the world of e-bikes in late 2020 with the launch of subsidiary Serial 1, and a month later introduced the first three premium devices. Now the second generation of e-bikes is introduced.

Harley-Davidson developed a line of e-bikes called the CTY in collaboration with Google Cloud. Through this extraordinary partnership, every trip is backed by a suite of cloud-based travel data collection, security, route guidance with detailed Google Maps navigation.

Users have access to new functions through a smartphone app that interacts with the e-bike via IoT protocols. The system provides Bluetooth pairing and the use of cellular and GPS data for reliable, always-on access to the bike.

The instrument panel displays speed, trip duration, distance travelled, riding efficiency, remaining charge, rider and engine power.

The CTYs, depending on the model, are equipped with 529 and 706 Wh lithium-ion batteries built into the chassis, designed for a range of 145 and 185 km, respectively.

Propulsion is provided by 2.75-inch alloy wheels with Schwalbe Super Moto-X tires. The braking system is hydraulic brakes with 200mm rotors.

Model prices: MOSH - 3800, the European version of the RUSH - 4500 and the American version - 5600 dollars. They will be on sale in the near future.
