The video, which invites people to “prepare for the game”, shows very little except a few shots of a darkened M2, and the interior of the novelty also appears in the frame for a few moments.
A new video illustrates the main launch strategy of the new M2 - a car for joy and comfort.
BMW announced last month that the M2 will be built exclusively at its factory in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The company also pledged to "enhance BMW's outstanding dynamic performance with cutting-edge technology that combines the power of racing cars with the ease of use in everyday driving."
Thanks to spy photos of camouflaged M2 prototypes, we know it will have some big air vents along the front of the car.
As the facelifted 2 Series coupe, the M2 is expected to feature BMW's new curved screen. It combines the instrument panel and infotainment display in one huge unit. The M2 is expected to be powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six engine, with power under wraps for now. Experts say the car could produce from 430 hp. up to 490 hp depending on configuration. Both automatic and manual transmissions must be available, rear or four-wheel drive.
BMW has yet to specify when it will introduce the 2023 M2, although it has said production will begin this year. Therefore, we expect the car to be presented relatively soon. As the M division celebrates its 50th anniversary, the company may decide to tie the debut to this event.
