KOMBI VEGANA? VEJA OS DETALHES DO INTERIOR DO ID. BUZZ

The Kombi turned vegan

Digitized, renewed, electric and...vegan. Yes! The electric Kombi once again surprises by combining technology and sustainability in a single project, which uses a high percentage of recycled materials, while all the components of the cabin result from non-animal sources.

And not even the most attentive eye was able to detail that the Kombi is adept at veganism. The use of parts and finishes that do not derive from animals are everywhere. Starting with the steering wheel rim, made of a synthetic material that looks the same high quality as leather and even offers a similar feel. The materials used in some seat covers, such as the floor covering and roof lining of the ID. Buzz include components created from recycled products. Among them is a fabric made from a yarn called SEAQUAL, whose fibers consist of 10% plastics collected from the oceans and about 90% recycled PET bottles. Even the ArtVelours 'ECO' finish, first used on the ID. Buzz, has 71% of recyclable materials in its composition.

The combination of exterior colors is, without a doubt, one of the style signatures of the Kombi. Circulating on the streets ‘dressed’ in yellow, with the so-called Lime Yellow, or even with its orange Energetic Orange, Nova Senhora confirms that VW maintains its commitment to sustainability by using organic-based vehicle paints.

The brand also plans to recycle high-voltage batteries at the end of their life cycle. The idea is to prepare them for another use, such as energy storage for solar panel systems in buildings. The prediction of battery usage in the ID. Buzz is eight years or 160,000 kilometers. In addition, the electric van is also carbon neutral during its life cycle, from manufacturing to transport.

Every detail matters...The minimalist interior of the electric Kombi follows the line of the ID Family, and stands out for the practicality of the elements available for those on board. A special ID item. Buzz is the BuzzBox. It is a modular storage compartment, located between the front seats. It has a compartment for storing a laptop, notebooks or clipboards, as well as bottles and other objects. It can also be easily removed and replaced.

The ID Buzz is also equipped with 10-color ambient lighting as standard. There is even an optional package that offers 30 different colors. The areas illuminated by the chosen shade include a light strip on the instrument panel, the decorative strips on the four doors and the door storage compartments. The foot area is illuminated with white light. In addition to individual colors, it is possible to activate pre-configured lighting profiles with just one touch.

The driver and front passenger sit in comfortable individual seats. The high seating position, typical of the classic Kombi, is the same as always. And even in the basic version, the front seats have an armrest. In higher versions, the passenger seat also offers the component. In the top versions, the seats are fully electrically adjustable and have memory and massage functions. The ID Buzz is the complete vehicle for our time: emission-free, sustainable and fully connected.

Electric Car of the Year...The ID. Buzz was elected in Europe the Electric Car of the Year 2022. The award was granted by the British publication Top Gear and celebrated by the CEO of the Volkswagen brand, Ralf Brandstätter. “Our ID. Buzz was named Electric Car of the Year! Bold, courageous, beautiful, these are just some of the attributes given by the jury to the model. Our team couldn't be happier," he said, adding that the electric van embodies Volkswagen's vision of electric mobility: sustainable, with an incredible digital experience and ready for autonomous driving.
