Tesla Model S with a very special package from Competition Carbon
We are used to thinking of Mercedes-AMG, BMW M or Audi RS models when we talk about high-performance preparations, but this specialist has departed from that traditional scheme. Now comes a sedan preparation with the fastest acceleration available on the market today, the Tesla Model S by Competition Carbon.
For the time being, the American preparer has only dared with the aesthetic improvements in the interior and exterior of the vehicle. It remains to be seen whether Competition Carbon intends to sell this body pack to customers or if it will be strictly a one-off. If the kit is sold to Tesla Model S Plaid owners, it probably won't be cheap.
Remembering that the Tesla Model S Plaid has three electric motors to develop a power of more than 1,100 hp. According to the model's technical specifications, it is capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 2.1 seconds, covering the quarter mile in less than 9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 320 km/h.
According to Elon Musk, the model declared a WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca circuit time of 1:30.3. That makes it nearly three seconds faster than the Lucid Air's three-engine model. In addition, its high doses of power do not prevent it from guaranteeing an excellent range of up to 840 kilometers on a single charge.
The Tesla Model S by Competition Carbon sports a body flare package capable of causing hiccups. Although the images were computer-generated, we know the wild sedan will be featured at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The highlight of the modifications is a refurbished front end that includes a different bumper with reshaped air intakes and an oversized front splitter. All of this, along with the lowered suspension, gives the Model S Plaid a much more aggressive look. The new wheels complete the set.
Competition Carbon improvements continue to the sides with flared front and rear wheel arches, as well as extended side skirts. Rounding out the updates are a number of changes to the rear of the car. These include a tremendous spoiler and a new bumper with an exposed carbon fiber diffuser.
