CURVV CONCEPT: the crossover that will inaugurate the electrified phase of the Indian brand
TATA Motors will soon introduce a new generation of vehicles that will feature hybrid and electric engines. The Curvv Concept anticipates what will be a 100% electric mid-size crossover with a clear futuristic character. The series production version could be ready in 2025.
The TATA Curvv Concept has a very particular design, unlike anything seen so far in the brand, with a sharp roof drop that brings it closer to the 'coupe' bodies in the segment. At least the conceptual model has an interior suitable for four passengers.
And speaking of the interior, it is worth highlighting the striking central screen that takes center stage and manages to unite most of the vehicle's functions. To facilitate the handling of some elements such as climate control, there will be direct commands to avoid the need to navigate through different menus.
From the Curvv Concept there will be an interesting electric alternative that will be able to run around 400-500 km on a single charge. The brand did not say what type of battery will be used or its capacity, nor did it want to give details about power and performance.
What has been pointed out is that shortly after its launch, versions with traditional combustion engines will be added, possibly with some hybridization or adapted to methane, a fuel in high demand in India. The transmission must be automatic.
TATA Motors hopes to add more electric models to its offer and have a 'green' alternative in almost all segments in the medium term. There are no plans for their international expansion, although electrification will allow a return to markets such as Europe if they so choose.
