RENAULT OROCH 2023: MOTOR TURBO DE 170 CV, DESIGN RENOVADO, NOVO INTERIOR, MAIS CONECTIVIDADE E SEGURANÇA

Sub pick-up Oroch 2023 gets some changes for the Brazilian market

Renault do Brasil presents the Oroch 2023 pick-up. The revolutionary model, which created a new segment within the pick-up universe, arrives on the market with more power and torque with the 1.3 TCe Flex turbo engine, a renewed external design that reinforces its robustness, completely new interior, bringing much more refinement and sophistication, and new technologies of connectivity, comfort and safety.

Innovative since its conception, Oroch was the first national pick-up that combined the comfort of an SUV with the versatility of having the right-sized bucket, bringing ample wheelbase and internal space, as well as independent suspension on four wheels - McPherson at the front and Multilink at the rear - allowing the model to ride comfortably and safely in different conditions.

For the 2023 line, the pick-up is now available in three new versions: PRO, Intense and Outsider. The first two feature the efficient 1.6 SCe engine, with the new 6-speed manual transmission, while the top-of-the-line Outsider debuts the 1.3 TCe Flex turbo engine, the same used in the Captur and Duster, with 170 hp and 270 Nm of torque.

“The Oroch 2023 is the pick-up to call work, travel, adventures and everything else the customer needs. Innovative since its launch, Oroch comes to the market with a complete range of versions for different consumer profiles”, explains Bruno Hohmann, commercial vice president of Renault do Brasil.

More powerful and with excellent torque... One of the great novelties of the Oroch 2023 is the adoption of the new TCe 1.3 flex turbo engine in the Outsider version, with 170 hp at 5,500 rpm and 270 Nm of torque between 1,600 and 3,750 rpm. Developed with the know-how of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance in partnership with Daimler, this powertrain, also adopted in the Captur and Duster Iconic, features high torque at low rpm and low fuel consumption.

It brings technologies that Renault developed on the Formula 1 tracks, a category in which the brand has already won 12 world titles, such as central direct injection with 250 bar pressure, turbocharger with electronic wastegate valve and double variable valve timing with electric actuators, that guarantee optimized combustion with more performance and less fuel consumption.

The TCe 1.3 flex turbo is a global engine, which equips high-end models in several countries. Produced in Spain, this engine has run more than 40 thousand hours of tests in its development, more than 300 thousand km of validation in extreme conditions and has already had more than 1.2 million units produced in 2020. All the development of the flex version was in charge from the team of engineers at RTA (Renault Tecnologia Américas), which is located at the Ayrton Senna Complex, in São José dos Pinhais (PR).

Renewed external design...To renew Oroch's unique design, Renault focused on bringing changes that reinforced the model's robustness. The front gained more personality with the new front grille and bumper, as well as redesigned elements such as the front ski and fog lights. In addition to expanding the pick-up's strong look, the new lines also increased the entry angle, which is now 27.6º, further increasing the model's capability in off-road situations.

The model also received new roof bars, which support up to 80 kg, redesigned santantônio and light alloy wheels with an unprecedented look, being in gray in the Intense version and with a diamond finish in the Outsider. At the back, new lanterns with a smoked finish and the new Oroch logo highlighted on the lid complete the renewed look of the model. In all versions, the bucket protector is standard, increasing versatility and protection of the load compartment.

Completely new interior and more connectivity...Occupants of the Oroch 2023 will experience new sensations inside the Renault pick-up. Inside, the model arrives completely new, with a new panel, door sides and seat finishes, which reinforce comfort, as well as new technologies for connectivity and Easy Life, to increase well-being on board.

The new Oroch 2023 dashboard focuses on the main internal changes. With a new design, more refined and with greater perceived quality, it has a more horizontal design, with rectangular aerators and a matte silver finish, as well as command buttons well-positioned in the center, with easy access. The Outsider version features Corail orange internal finishes, on the panel and seat seams, which alludes to the modern world of consumers.

The instrument panel has a new design, with a digital speedometer in the center, while the steering wheel is also new, with a brushed finish and backlit buttons.

The Intense and Outsider versions also bring a great novelty that is the new EasyLink floating 8.0-inch multimedia center, with wireless connectivity to smartphones through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
