The brand's Ralliart competition division is stronger than ever with the new L200/Triton
As we learned last year, Mitsubishi is reviving its mythical Ralliart racing division not only to introduce its sporty DNA into many of its street models, such as the Pajero Sport and its L200/Triton pickup, but also to return to the competition world. This last part took a while to arrive, but we are finally facing the first fruit of this reborn division of competition. This is the Mitsubishi Ralliart Triton Rally, a new generation vitamin L200 that will participate in the Asian Cross Country Rally (AXCR) 2022.The images show a flashy L200 that stands out for its gray and matte black colors accompanied by red and white Mitsubishi stickers and Ralliart logos. A pick-up that sports a longer-travel suspension with 22-inch all-terrain wheels, in addition to having two other spare wheels in the bucket. Although the most notable is that, despite being a competition model, it has a plug-in hybrid powertrain boosted with a higher performance all-wheel drive and a battery with improved capacity. The debut also comes with the video statements of Hiroshi Masuoka, new director of the Mitsubishi Ralliart team, 21 times participant and 2 times winner of the Dakar. “Mitsubishi Motors' participation in AXCR in the form of technical support will strengthen the uniqueness of our product, especially for strategic models in Southeast Asia, including pick-ups and SUVs. The Mitsubishi Ralliart team will prepare to meet the expectations of our enthusiasts, so stay tuned.” The debut of this model in the AXCR will take place between the 6th and 12th of August, in a rally that will be celebrated across Southeast Asia, mostly Thailand, crossing mountains and jungles.Autonews
