HENNESSEY
Venom F5 in testing phase reaches 437 km/h
Still under development, the Hennessey Venom F5 has just offered a run at 271.6 mph, or 437 km/h. The sequence is filmed and makes us think that it will easily reach 300 mph in a few months.
The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ better watch out. It clearly has the ambition to become one of the fastest cars in the world, just like the Venom GT had been. To help it achieve this goal and cross the fateful barrier of 300 mph, the Venom F5 has just carried out high-speed tests and the result is impressive. A video released by Hennessey Performance shows us the American supercar rolling over 270 mph quite easily. Yes, that's already more than the Venom GT's 435 km/h record set almost 10 years ago.
In fact, the car manages to reach a crazy speed of 271.6 mph, or 437 km/h. In fact, the team was at the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds (a proving ground) to do the final calibration of the suspension, braking and aerodynamics. Nevertheless, founder John Hennessey makes it very clear that hitting at least 300mph is always part of his ambition and that this goal has been part of the F5's DNA from the very beginning of the design process.
Deliveries before the record...The chief engineer of the Venom F5, John Heinricy, is very happy that the technical development of the car is coming to an end, but the work is still far from finished. For now, Hennessey will not attempt to break the speed record and will focus on delivering the cars to its customers. A dozen lucky winners should receive their cars this year.
