Macan T: the exclusive model of the ''T'' lineage with a ''compact'' 2.0L engine of 265CV
With the Macan T a new version is added to the successful family of this Porsche model. It is the first four-door sports car to bear this special designation, which until now was reserved for the 911 and 718.
The letter 'T' has always represented unique dynamic characteristics at Porsche since the 1960s. It comes from the word ‘Touring’ and identifies cars that offer a truly special driving experience, thanks to the precision of their tuning, their exclusive equipment and very efficient engines. True to the spirit of the 1968 Porsche 911 T, the new Macan T stands out for its incredible dynamism and a lightweight 2.0-litre turbo engine, combined with an athletic design and standard equipment ideal for a sporty driving style. With this concept, the Macan T sits within the line between the Macan and the Macan S.
2.0 turbo engine with 265 hp: light weight for an immediate response...The Macan T's 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine is characterized by great agility, a contained weight and a compact design to create a balance between lightness and performance. Compared to the Macan S and GTS with a 2.9-litre V6 biturbo engine, the weight on the front axle has been reduced by 58.8 kilograms, giving the vehicle excellent acceleration and great cornering behavior.
The Macan T delivers a power of 265 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, characteristics that allow the driver to fully enjoy behind the wheel. As is customary in this compact crossover, the engine is coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (PDK), which allows for very quick shifts, and to the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive system. The high torque figures that are available in a wide range of speeds provide an immediate response in any situation. With the standard Sport Chrono package, which includes the mode selector and the Sport Response button on the steering wheel, the Macan T accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 232 km/h.
Special adjustment of a chassis lowered between 15 and 25 millimeters...The Macan T is the only Porsche model equipped as standard with a coil-spring suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) damping, combined with a bodywork that reduces its ground clearance by 15 millimeters. The front axle stabilizer bars are stiffer and the chassis tuning has been optimized in order to create the perfect suspension for this vehicle and its drive system, resulting in an immediate steering response and very agile handling.
The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system has also been adapted to the demands of the Macan T and is specially designed for the dimensions of the rear axle wheels. As an option, you can order the adaptive air suspension with PASM damping and thus lower the height of the body by another 10 millimeters, something new for Macans with 4-cylinder engines. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) can also be ordered, a system configured for the dynamic characteristics of the Macan T that offers even more efficient handling.
Exclusive exterior and interior details...Design elements painted in Agate Gray metallic on the front, sides and rear of the Macan T set this version apart from the rest of the family. The unique contrast color can be seen on the front bezel, outside mirrors, side steps, roof spoiler and rear logos. Sport exhaust outlets and black (high-gloss) window frames are standard equipment. The ‘Macan T’ logo on the stirrups is also painted black. Also standard are 20-inch Macan S wheels in dark titanium. Customers have the opportunity to choose from 13 colors for the exterior, which can be basic, metallic or special. The Macan T's interior has a personality of its own.
