Chevrolet Blazer 2023 arrives with new features in the aesthetic and technological part

Chevrolet presented the long-awaited renovation of one of its most popular crossovers. The new Chevrolet Blazer 2023 was introduced loaded with interesting news. It has undergone a facelift, a mid-lifecycle upgrade that will be critical for the current generation to face the rest of the business life ahead.

Regarding the changes, the General Motors brand focused resources on the aesthetic and technological part. Let's go into details and review the main news of the new Blazer.

As it is a facelift, the changes in the exterior design are not radical and focus on the front. The front has been slightly redesigned and features a grille, optics with LED technology and new bezels for the lower headlight group. And at the rear, although the LED taillights keep their shape, the interior distribution has been renewed.

As for the interior of the new Blazer, we are quickly enveloped by a more digital and connected environment. It debuts a larger touchscreen that reaches 10 inches. It is the nerve center of the passenger compartment and a key element for managing the infotainment system.

Customization options have also been enhanced with new 18-, 20- and 21-inch alloy wheel designs. In addition, the following body colors have been added: Fountain Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic, Copper Bronze Metallic and Radiant Red Tintcoat. The RS trim level is now available with the Nightshift Blue ambience for the interior.

The Chevy Safety Assist package becomes standard equipment on all versions of the line. The package includes among other systems driving assistance and automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keeping assistant, unintentional lane departure warning and IntelliBeam automatic high beams. As far as the mechanics are concerned, there is nothing new. Everything remains as it is now. Therefore, Chevrolet maintains both engines on offer.

The access option is a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline engine that develops an output of 231 hp (228 hp) associated with a front-wheel drive system. A step up, as a higher-performance alternative, there is a 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine with 312 hp (308 hp) and all-wheel drive. Both engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Regarding its arrival on the market, the commercial launch of the new Blazer is scheduled for the second quarter of 2022. As it approaches its arrival at American dealers, the rest of the details of the line will be revealed and, of course, all prices.
