2022 Ford Everest in the same format as the new Ranger
Last November 2021, Ford revealed the new generation of its Ford Ranger pick-up, and now the Dearborn manufacturer is preparing its equivalent in SUV format, the so-called Ford Everest 2022, which will be officially presented on the 1st. March. The brand has already advanced some advances on the model, which, as we know, is not sold in the United States (nor the two previous generations), but in other markets such as Thailand, Vietnam, India, Australia, China and South Africa, for example.
In principle, both exterior and interior design is expected to be very much in line with the Ford Ranger, as it is a kind of SUV-format version, without a rear bucket, but with the same technology.
The main ace up the Ford Everest's sleeve in relation to the Ford Bronco that is sold in the United States is that it is available with a third row of seats, which allows it to offer up to 7 seats.
Since the Everest will be sold in several markets around the world, it will continue to have turbodiesel engines in its offer, such as the well-known 213 hp and 500 Nm 2.0-liter biturbo, as well as the new 3.0-liter V6 diesel with automatic transmission.
Although Ranger has just debuted a Raptor version, with a powerful V6 EcoBoost engine under the hood, it's still too early to know if Everest will also have a high-performance version, or just settle for conventional options.
For now, the blue oval brand has revealed little technical information about this new Everest, but we know that the Ranger's wheelbase is 5 centimeters longer than the previous model, so we assume that the same will happen on Everest.
About the cabin, design director Max Wolff himself said that “a sanctuary with premium finishes has been created where customers can feel relaxed and in control, no matter what happens outside”.
