Maverick is the Pick-up of the Year in the USA

The Ford Maverick won the 2022 North American Pickup of the Year award, the most prestigious recognition in the North American automotive industry. This is the second year in a row that the brand has won the trophy, won in 2021 by the new F-150. Ford also celebrated the Bronco's election as Utility of the Year 2022, a title that last year was championed by the Mach-E.

The North American Car, Pick-up and Utility Vehicle of the Year winners are chosen by a jury of 50 experts, recognizing the releases of the year that define or redefine their segments based primarily on criteria of innovation, design, safety, drivability, driver satisfaction and value.

“We are thrilled and honored to win the Pick-up and Utility Vehicle of the Year awards with the Maverick and Bronco in such hotly contested segments of the market,” said Kumar Galhotra, president, Ford Americas and International Markets Group. "We are also proud that these awards are a well-deserved recognition of the enormous amount of work, focus and energy that our teams have invested in the design, engineering and construction of these vehicles, which are enjoying an overwhelming reception from customers."

Presented as an all-new pickup truck, the Ford Maverick has an intermediate size for easy maneuvering and parking, space for five adults and plenty of luggage capacity, including the option of towing to transport a wide variety of items.
