Crypto-mining electric car: Daymak Spiritus Test Drive

prototype of the EV with cryptomining capabilities has been driven on public streets in Canada during a first test drive, and this milestone for the Daymak Spiritus has of course been captured in a recently released video.

It may still sound absurd that thanks to their large batteries and more or less powerful integrated chipsets, electric cars can indeed be used for cryptomining. We just recently reported on a creative EV owner who put additional GPUs in his trunk and hooked them up to the integrated battery of a Tesla Model 3 in order to make up to US$800 of profit by mining Ethereum.

With the upcoming release of the Daymak Spiritus, crypto-mining cars may even become a more common occurrence. The three-wheeled EV from Canada has now successfully completed its first test drive, which can be seen in the corresponding YouTube video which is embedded below. It shows a pre-production unit of the crypto-mining electric car as it was carefully driven on public roads and a parking lot, all while going much slower than its expected top speed of 85 mph.

Apart from the fact that the Toronto-based company has indeed produced a drivable prototype of the crypto-mining electric car, not much else can be gleaned from this short video. The Daymak Spiritus is still scheduled to be released in 2023, and the manufacturer plans to produce around 50,000 units of the three-wheeled electric vehicle in the coming years. The complete technical specifications of the different Daymak Spiritus models can be found on the manufacturer’s official website, where the crypto-mining electric car can also be pre-ordered.
