CUPRA LEÓN ST STREET RACE BY JE DESIGN: A PERUA ESPANHOLA RECEBE UM TOQUE MAIS RADICAL

JE DESIGN makes a big update on the CUPRA van León Sportstourer

The CUPRA León Sportstourer is one of the few high-performance compact vans on the market. The Spanish sports brand is convinced that maximum sportiness fits perfectly with the model's versatility. For those whose exterior appearance is more than important and the factory original is not flashy enough, JE DESIGN specialists have just presented a specific proposal for the CUPRA León van.

But of course with a new name that distinguishes it from the starting model. The JE DESIGN CUPRA León ST Street Race fulfills this premise, giving it a more radical visual touch. This is especially noticeable on a front that features a new bumper with sharper lines, although it's the decorative appliqués that highlight the side air intakes, while the lower edge is now occupied by a new spoiler two-piece that increases the aerodynamic load on that axle.

On the side is where you can see more clearly that the CUPRA León ST Street Race is a sports car with a special pedigree, thanks to the new light alloy wheels in the 'Cadiz' design. They are 20 inches long, the front of the spokes is painted in the traditional copper tone of CUPRA and the profiles in matte black, and they are chocked with tires of size 235/30 R20. The German specialist also offers 'Lucca' wheels, available in 18,19 and 20 inches, but only the last two diameters are adapted to the powerful Brembo brake system of the optional 'Performance Pack' package.

Among other details, the rear view mirror housings are made of carbon fiber, a plus that further refines the set. At the rear, the CUPRA León ST Street Race has no significant changes other than the vertical decorative appliqués installed at the ends of the bumper, which can be finished in gloss black or in the same color as the body.

As the icing on the cake, JE DESIGN also touched up the suspension. It has new springs compatible with the factory shock absorbers that offer a shorter stroke, reducing the height by 20 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear. In the '4Drive' all-wheel drive versions, the height reduction is 20 mm on both axles. The preparer highlighted that this package of innovations is offered both for the gasoline versions of the model, as well as for the plug-in hybrid version, the CUPRA León ST e-Hybrid, although in this version the body height decreases by 35 mm at the front and 30 mm at the rear.
