SUBARU

ESTE É O SUBARU WRX S4 2022 PARA O MERCADO JAPONÊS

WRX S4 2022 more vitamin for the Japanese market

The Subaru WRX S4 2022 for the Japanese market doesn't differ much from the American version. From an aesthetic point of view, the most notable changes are the different graphics of the headlights (without reflectors), the S4 insignia on the tailgate and a windshield wiper on the rear window. But best of all are the STI versions.

The STI Sport R finishes feature the STI emblems in red on the grille and tailgate. The unpainted plastic coating on the fenders, bumpers and side steps stands out, reminding the world of rallys. The icing on the cake are the new body colors: Solar Orange Pearl, Sapphire Blue Pearl, Ignition Red and Ceramic White.

The WRX S4 is available in Japan in four equipment levels: GT-H, GT-H EX, STI Sport R and STI Sport R EX. The most interesting are the STI, as they equip Recaro front seats upholstered with Ultra Suede. They include the embroidered STI logo and red contrast elements. It also has sports frames and aluminum pedals.

The technological touch is due to an 11.6-inch touchscreen for the Starlink infotainment system and digital instrumentation with a 12.3-inch screen. This will only be available on the Japanese market. The equipment also includes Subaru's latest EyeSight driving assistance and safety technology.

Highlight for the legendary 275 hp/375 Nm boxer engine
The WRX S4 is based on the Subaru Global Platform and receives a sporty configuration for the chassis and suspension that provides greater rigidity. The scale sits at 1,600 kg and under the hood rests the turbocharged boxer engine with 4 cylinders and 2.4 liters. It delivers 275 hp and 375 Nm of maximum torque (25 Nm more than the American version). The Japanese model can only be paired with a CVT transmission that includes an 8-speed virtual sequential mode. Standard on the line is Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel drive with active torque vectoring. The STI adds to it a driving mode selector that acts on the different parameters of the vehicle.
