TOYOTA HILUX REVO PATHFINDER BY RAD

Thai RAD preparer makes Hilux more off-road...The idea that Toyota Gazoo Racing would develop a Hilux with a formula similar to that used in models like the GR Yaris to bring all its Dakar experience to the streets is a dream that came up on more than one occasion. In fact, this GR formula has already been applied to the famous Japanese pick-up, for example, in Australia with the Hilux Mako and in Thailand with the Hilux Revo GR Sport, but they are still more aesthetic versions than an authentic rival for the Raptors and company .

To solve this and put it at the height of the wildest pick-ups, some renowned preparers have already demonstrated what is possible to do with the latest generation of Hilux. To all of them is now added one of the most impressive preparations, at least in terms of appearance, on the new Hilux. It is the Toyota Hilux Revo prepared by Rad, an expert from Thailand who now brings us a new body kit under the name ‘Pathfinder’.

We're talking about a body kit that adds parts like a much sturdier grille, bumpers fit for a military vehicle, air intake hood, roof-mount LED auxiliary lights, extended fenders, and a bucket with a new cover for match the front. The result is an aspect that not only equals the Raptor and TRX, it even surpasses them.

However, what really makes this Hilux so menacing is its new, huge all-terrain wheels accompanied by an improved Old Man Emu suspension that allows its body to be raised between 52, 102 and even 152 mm, so it can enter any terrain without the need to seek alternative paths. On top of that, it is supported by the Toyota Hilux Revo base, that is, the sportiest version of the Hilux existing, at least in Thailand.

Where there are no changes is in the mechanical part, continuing as a more powerful option a 2.8 liter turbodiesel engine with 204 hp and 500 Nm of maximum torque. Perhaps this is the most stumbling part if the customer is looking for an authentic anti-Raptor with the Toyota emblem.
