Klassen converts a Rolls-Royce Cullinan into an armored SUV limousine
The fact that even brands with the elegance and luxury of Rolls-Royce have decided to launch their own SUV speaks volumes about the impact this type of vehicle has had on the automotive industry and the public. With the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the British brand has demonstrated how far luxury can be taken in these types of models, and if by any chance the VIPs who travel inside it not only need luxuries, but also protection, companies specializing in armor how the German Klassen can meet this demand.
In fact, this company made an even more ambitious bet, which included converting the Cullinan into an armored SUV limousine, but now we are facing another example created by the company and which is looking for a new owner.
We're talking about a Cullinan capable of 360-degree ballistic protection that includes multi-layer bulletproof glass, reinforced door hinges, run flat wheels and more robust brakes, plus a modified suspension to handle the extra weight of this version. Even the vehicle's electronics and battery are protected against possible damage. To highlight the special and protective condition of the model, this Cullinan also lacks emergency lights and siren, a fire extinguishing system and an intercom, among other elements.
Despite this strong commitment to safety, Cullinan by Klassen has not lost any of the luxury that characterizes Rolls-Royce models. Thus, we can find the highest quality upholstery on the four seats, the rear ones with every imaginable amenity and electronic adjustments, including two screens to manage the infotainment system, folding tables, state-of-the-art mobile connectivity, navigation, television, function of wifi hotspot, USB ports and, of course, a starlit ceiling like a good Rolls-Royce.
To move this level of luxury - which already means more than 2,600 kg in the original model - to which extra protection must be added, under the hood there is a twin-turbo 6.75 liter V12 engine capable of offering 600 hp of power and 850 Nm of maximum torque, plus a level of refinement difficult to surpass. So its acceleration from 0 to 100 will be a little slower than the original 5 seconds, but it will still be enough to escape quickly if things get complicated.
This copy is currently on sale in Germany for a price of 833,000 euros, around 5.4 million reais at today's exchange rate. The car only traveled 10 km, so it is literally new.
