AUDI Q8 TFSIe BY ABT SPORTSLINE: UM SUV HÍBRIDO PLUG-IN MAIS POTENTE E RADICAL

ABT Sportsline does an exquisite job on the Audi Q8 TFSIe(plug-in hybrid)

Electrification gains adherents and consolidates itself as one of the pillars on which the automobile industry is already supported. That's why car preparers must adapt to the new times, where sustainable mobility, connectivity and automation are the protagonists. ABT Sportsline has just presented its new and interesting project, which is related to plug-in hybrid technology, and the highlight is the Audi Q8 TFSIe.

Taking as a starting point the plug-in hybrid version (PHEV) of the exclusive Audi SUV, an interesting and complete package of improvements was developed. A program of adjustments that puts the focus on both aesthetics and mechanics, making the Q8 TFSIe a plug-in hybrid SUV more powerful, radical and, above all, exclusive.

Regarding the visual part, the German specialist places an Aero Package body kit composed of several components on the table. Among them are the front deflector, rear wing and fender inserts. These bodywork components are available separately and some of them are offered in carbon fiber.

Audi's SUV also debuts new ABT Sports wheels, which are available in three different versions. The GR model in glossy or matte black is offered in 22 inches, while the GR-F model, available in the same finishes, has a size of 23 inches. In the wheel catalog you can also find the HR-F in 22 and 23 inches. The main hue is black.

Now, in addition to the changes made to the exterior design of the Q8 TFSIe modified by ABT Sportsline, for being a plug-in hybrid vehicle, the really important thing is the mechanics. The preparer modified the propulsion system to increase the power and therefore the performance of the German SUV.

In the Q8 TFSIe line the most powerful version reaches 462 hp. It is the Q8 60 TFSIe quattro engine. Under the hood is a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol engine that combines with an electric motor integrated into the Tiptronic 8-speed automatic transmission. The ABT Sportsline boost kit allows you to increase the power of the combustion engine up to 408 hp and 500 Nm of maximum torque. That is, in total there is an increase of 68 hp and 50 Nm respectively.

After installing the ABT Engine Control control unit, Audi's plug-in hybrid SUV output reaches 530 hp. Incidentally, the boost kit is also available for the Q8 55 TFSIe quattro which, as standard, delivers 381 hp.
