PORSCHE LANÇA TAYCAN CROSS TURISMO, O ESPORTIVO MAIS VERSÁTIL ENTRE OS MODELOS 100% ELÉTRICOS NO BRASIL

Porsche officially presents the Taycan Cross Turismo in the Brazilian market

The expansion in the portfolio of all-electric vehicles of the German sports car brand, which has been selling the Taycan sports sedan for a few months, gains a special chapter with the arrival of this off-road version, which exhibits versatility and continues the systematic search for the sustainable mobility.

Like the sedan, the Taycan Cross Turismo boasts innovative 100% electric propulsion, with an 800 Volt architecture and a total storage capacity of 93.4 kWh. The model will be available in the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo version, capable of developing 280 kW (380 hp) or up to 350 kW (476 hp) with the use of overboost and start control features. With four drive wheels, the model allows an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, top speed of 220 km/h and autonomy (WLTP cycle) of 389 to 456 km. The maximum torque is 500 Nm.

“In 2019, we sent an important signal with the launch of our first all-electric car,” said Oliver Blume, Director of the Executive Board of Porsche AG. “We see ourselves as pioneers of sustainable mobility: by 2025, half of our new vehicles will have electric propulsion – all electric or plug-in hybrid. By 2020, one in three of all our vehicles made in Europe had an electric powertrain. Electric mobility is the future. With Taycan Cross Turismo, we are taking a big step in this direction”.

Unique, exclusive design...In terms of appearance, the Taycan Cross Turismo closely follows the Mission E Cross Turismo concept study, presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018: its silhouette is defined by the sporty line of the roof leaning towards the rear - which the designers from Porsche call it the 'flyline'. Off-road design elements include wheel arch casing, unique front and rear underguards and side sills. Additionally, the package adds protective elements at the ends of the front and rear bumpers and at the ends of the sills. This makes the exterior striking as well as protects against stone impacts.

This optional off-road design package increases ground clearance by up to 30 mm. This means that Cross Turismo can also be driven in difficult off-road terrain. The standard ‘Gravel Mode’ improves the suitability of the new model for driving on poorly maintained stretches of road. Thirty-six millimeters more in head-to-roof space for rear seat passengers and more than 1,200 liters of load capacity in the trunk make the Cross Turismo an extremely versatile vehicle.

The ability to traverse uneven floors does not stop, however, in appearance. The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo has appropriate requirements to overcome obstacles in these conditions, such as a new chassis with permanent four-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension.
