PIRELLI

Company presented the new Cinturato P7, Scorpion, Scorpion HT tires and Seal Inside technology

The Cinturato P7, according to the manufacturer, was designed to serve medium or high performance passenger vehicles. Compared to the predecessor, the tread edges have been smoothed allowing a more homogeneous contact area with the tread. Rolling resistance has decreased, with a four percent improvement in fuel consumption (WLTP cycle) as well as a reduction in pollutant emissions. According to the tests carried out, when braking at 100 km/h, the distance reduced by an average of four meters. That is, seven to 10% better than the old model.

Another novelty is the Scorpion, which is 100% aimed at onroad use and had the grooves/grooves optimized to reduce the risks of aquaplaning, while the Scorpion HT is geared towards SUVs and pickup trucks, with 70% asphalt and 30% off road. And the new tread made it possible to travel with low noise and the traction offered makes it possible to overcome the adversities of off-road roads without effort, as we proved during our evaluation at the Panamericano Circuit

Seal Inside Technology...In addition to the Cinturato P7, the Scorpion and the Scorpion HT, Pirelli also showcased the Seal Inside technology. It allows the vehicle to continue rolling and prevents the loss of air pressure in case of perforations of up to 4mm in the tread. The Seal Inside technology does not require an exclusive rim, and the TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) is advisable, but it is not mandatory. It can be used on any type of vehicle, depending on its size.
