LIFAN
The model KPT 400 is the new Chinese adventurer inspired by Harley-Davidson Pan America
Lifan presents one of its most recent launches in the motorcycle segment, the adventurous KPT 400, a medium-sized motorcycle presented exclusively for the local market, presented at the Shenzhen Motor Expo.
Looking at it, we get that feeling of “I've seen you somewhere”… And this is still true, because its look is reminiscent of the Harley-Davidson Pan America, model that marks the debut of the Milwaukee manufacturer in the segment of adventurous motorcycles. Both have straight lines integrated into a large square fairing, plus a rectangular LED windshield and headlamp. However, the similarities stop there.
Lifan's motorcycle is equipped with a 400 cm³ parallel twin-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum power of 42 hp at 9,500 rpm and 3.57 kgf.m of torque at 7,500 revolutions. The Harley-Davidson adventurer, on the other hand, has a V-shaped bicylindrical with 1,252 cm³ and 150 hp, numbers much higher than those of the Chinese version, whose delivery is close to that of the KTM 390 Adventure.
The Lifan KPT 400 frame uses a steel truss structure, inverted front fork, single-piston rear suspension, alloy wheels and 2-piston caliper brakes at the front and single piston at the rear. The Chinese adventurer also brings a TFT panel and Bluetooth connectivity.
Exclusive to the Chinese market, the Lifan KPT 400 is offered for 29,980 yuan
