RANGER 2023 APPEARS FOR THE FIRST TIME ON VIDEO
Thanks to a new video from Ford Australia, it's the first time we've been able to see the new Ranger in so much detail while it's still in its development phase, and although the blue-colored graphics of this prototype try, its camouflage leaves a little to the imagination. , showing a cabin that, at least from this rear view, doesn't differ much from the current Ranger. The same does not happen with the little that is seen of its front part, in which, as we have seen previously, we will find shapes much more robust and squared to the image and similarity of the F-150.
These documents are added to a series of images that the American photographers on duty revealed, where the new Ranger, still loaded with camouflage, appeared. However, the images serve to confirm some aesthetic details of this model that had leaked, such as its large LED headlamps with the 'C' shaped lighting that was until now reserved for larger Ford pick-ups.
Like these, the new-generation Ranger also includes a wider chrome grille and two large blades that connect the aforementioned light groups, while at the rear, the changes will be more discreet, since the pick-ups don't allow big changes either. in this sense. There are large vertical lanterns, an equally striking chrome tailpipe, as well as a set of black-painted alloy wheels. These are all the details that appear in this first test prototype, with a double cabin, of course.
In the video, the dense camouflage is still present, which tries to hide all the vehicle's aesthetic keys. Despite this, we can see how the new generation of Ranger behaves in different terrains far from the road, such as mud, rocks, sand and snow. The pick-up seems to do well in all of them, with the brand itself defining this vehicle as the “strongest and most capable” generation so far.
Inside, minor modifications are expected in a cabin that will continue to be spacious and comfortable for five passengers, but to which new technological devices will be added, such as more sophisticated state-of-the-art multimedia equipment. In any case, these details are not yet closed by Ford, as with the equipment in terms of safety, which promises to debut new driving assistants.
Ford has already confirmed that the new Ford Ranger will be launched on the market sometime in 2022. We don't know exactly when, but its presentation could arrive before the end of this year of 2021. The vehicle is part of the collaboration agreement with Volkswagen, the that allowed Ford to save costs in the development of this model, which will also happen to the German brand with its next Amarok.
“With superior off-road credentials and Ford's dynamic driving DNA, the toughest, most capable and connected Ranger to date was developed by Ford with the customer in mind. In its essence, the next generation of Ranger will be the ideal companion for work, family and leisure”, comments the brand itself. We will be looking out for future news about this new generation of Ford Ranger.
