Canadian brand launches three-wheeled electric miner that mines cryptocurrencies
In March of this year, Canadian company Daymak launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the creation of a three-wheeled electric vehicle Spiritus. A large number of people liked the project and 25,000 people pre-ordered it. Now the company has created the first prototype of Spiritus.
Production versions of this non-standard electric car won't be cheap — from $20,000 for the basic version to six-digit numbers for the version, which, as the manufacturer promises, will be comparable to a hypercar. Testing of the first prototype of Spiritus has already started. This two-seater is 386 cm long. According to Daymak, the three-wheeled electric car will be very fast – it will be able to accelerate up to 100 km/h even faster than the Tesla Model S Plaid. The latter, incidentally, gains 100 km/h in just 1.99 s.
It should be highlighted the design of the Daymak Spiritus, whose taillights are somewhat reminiscent of the Ford GT. Another notable solution is the doors that open upwards. In the initial phase, the Canadian automaker will offer buyers a basic version of the electric vehicle at a price of just under $20,000 and with a range of 288 km. Some time later, a much more advanced version will appear with a price of $149,000. It's called the Ultimate edition, it's the one that promises to accelerate to 100 km / h in just 1.8 seconds with a power reserve of 480 km.
Not long ago, it became known about another extremely non-standard feature of this model. When the machine is not in use, its onboard computer, pre-installed with the Daymak Nebula software platform, can mine cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Dogecoin. And this feature also has a simple practical purpose: with a cryptocurrency, the owner of an electric car can pay tolls, parking and other costs.
