SWIFT SUFFERS AN IMPORTANT UPDATE

The small utility that is also one of the most successful proposals in the Japanese brand's offer, the Suzuki Swift has just received a discreet facelift for next year. This restyling includes new mechanics, more equipment and a reinforcement in technology.
Presented in this current generation in 2017, the Suzuki Swift is discreetly renewed at first sight, albeit with important changes in aspects that are barely visible. All versions now have new driving assistance systems, such as the Adaptive Cruise Control with autonomous emergency braking and the rear camera.
In addition, Swift may also include options such as a rear traffic alert system, recognition of traffic signs and a lane maintenance system. Not to mention the Smartlink infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, hands-free access and departure, as well as rear parking sensors.
In terms of mechanics, there are developments in engine development, starting with the 1.2 Dualjet 4-cylinder gasoline aspirated block, which improved its injection system, variable valve system, oil pump and cooling system. Although it continues to deliver 83 hp and 107 Nm of torque, Suzuki ensures that the response, even in casualties, is now better.
However, the most substantial changes appear in the micro hybrid version. In large part, due to the increased amperage of the lithium-ion battery, from 3 to 10 amps of capacity.
Even without being able to guarantee 100% electric circulation, these changes have lowered the combined WLTP consumption to 20.4 km / l. At the same time, the engine is coupled to a manual transmission or CVT, and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km is maintained for 12.2 seconds.
The Suzuki Swift remains one of the few SUVs to offer the possibility of coupling an Allgrip intelligent all-wheel drive system, including the Sport version, also equipped with a semi-hybrid system delivering 129 horsepower.
As for the aesthetic changes on the exterior, they were few, basically a front grille that now displays a horizontal chrome bar, as well as the daytime running lights were slightly redesigned and from now on, with LED technology in all versions.
