SAIC MOTORS

THE CHINESE ELECTRIC MONOVOLUME WHAT YOU WANT TO MAKE BEAUTIFUL IN EUROPE

Gradually SAIC tries to win back the European market with its interesting electrical offer. In addition to the successful MG ZS EV, the Chinese giant now intends to attract families looking for a 7-seater minivan with an electric motor, something almost impossible to find on the market today.

Marketed under the Maxus brand, the new Euniq is an interesting average minivan of 4.82 meters in length which in other markets is known under the name G50. Aesthetically it is an elegant product, with good presence and with the characteristic generous use of chrome elements.

Inside, the quality of the materials is good and the endowment is surprising for its generosity in both safety and comfort. At least for now it will be marketed in Norway and Sweden with a specific configuration with 7 seats divided into three rows 2 + 3 + 2 and a very usable trunk.

Under the hood is a 100% electric motor that develops 177 horsepower and 310 Nm of maximum torque. The transmission is automatic and the traction is simple to the front axle. The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 52.5 kWh that allows it to travel about 325 km according to the WLTP cycle, and 430 km at a maximum speed of 60 km / h.

The standard endowment is quite complete in the new Maxus Euniq. In terms of safety it includes Full LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, lane change alert, blind spot detector, 360º vision camera, pre-collision warning, automatic city braking, fatigue detector and parking sensors.

The dashboard design brings traces of BMW's DNA

Also standard are the multizone automatic climate control, electric sunroof, leather upholstery, electric and heated seats, on-board computer, navigation system with 12.3-inch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Head-Up Display, alloy wheels 17 inch, DAB radio, etc. For now the new Maxus Euniq is on sale in Norway and Sweden, but very soon it will also be offered in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. The suggested price in Norway is 399,000 Norwegian kroner, about 237,000 reais at the current exchange rate, and in Sweden from 499,000 SEK.
