NISSAN

THE HEIR OF SAGA Z IN DETAILS

With more than a decade on its back, the Nissan 370Z has been calling for renewal for a long time, but Nissan took it easy. Hearing rumors about the 400Z (unofficial name about its replacement) for months, and finally, after some advances, the Japanese brand unveiled the Nissan Z Proto Concept, a prototype that looks more like a production model and what the heir will look like.

The company has already said that in its design there will be elements clearly inspired by classic models of the Z family. In its athletic profile (4,382 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,310 mm high) there is a huge amount of references to its ancestors: the headlamps, in the shape of two semicircles are from the 240ZG, the body color was already displayed on the first Z S30 and the rear optical groups imitate those on the ZX300.

Added to this are its own elements such as the rectangular front grille, the pronounced drop from the roof with two metallic stripes on the sides, the two tailpipes and the frame that groups the taillights in shiny black.

The interior of the Nissan Z Proto Concept leaves even less doubt that we are looking at a practically street model. Driver and companion have sports seats with mixed upholstery, the instrument panel is digital and measures 12.3 inches, details such as the design of the steering wheel and the three dashboard clocks give a sporty touch and draw attention to elements such as the air vents located next to each other to the door handles.
In addition, it is impossible not to notice the shift lever. An element that says that the Z Proto will be a manual model, to the delight of purists. In addition, it also complies with the family tradition for being rear-wheel drive and for equipping a V6 biturbo engine, of which we do not yet know its power.
