German trainer gives a special touch-up to the Ingolstadt SUV
ABT continues at an incessant pace of news about Audi models, although on many occasions they are much more discreet preparations in the aesthetic field like the one we saw not long ago in the Audi RS Q8. However, in recent years, the German specialist has launched a series of limited editions for true enthusiasts, managing to give a good deal of aggressiveness to some models of the Ingolstadt brand, and all of them sharing the letter R at the end of their name. This is the case with the Audi RS5-R, RS6-R and RS7-R.
Now it is the turn of the Audi RS Q8 that also comes with a similar limited edition called ABT RSQ8-R and that serves to celebrate the 125 years of the company that will be completed next year. That is why the German specialist will offer only 125 units of this vitaminized RS Q8.
The Audi RS Q8 not only has an even more aggressive body, but thanks to the improvements that were made in its 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine through ABT Engine Control and a new intercooler designed specifically for the model, it is now capable of delivering 740 cv and 920 Nm of maximum torque.
This impressive performance is combined with a more aggressive style of its exterior that now features different carbon fiber elements present in the side and rear skirts, fenders, rear spoiler and mirror frames. A formula similar to that of its brothers that is completed with 23-inch ABT High Performance HR wheels fitted with 295/35 R23 tires, in addition to an ABT stainless steel exhaust system with four 102 mm exhaust vents.
But this limited edition also took care to make the interior unique. In the passenger compartment we can find a modified steering wheel with the ABT seal and a prominent presence of carbon fiber that we can also see on the dashboard, the gearshift lever and the center console, where we can also see a special emblem that includes the serial number of the edition. To finish off the set, the sport seats of the RS Q8 now feature the embroidered ABT and RSQ8-R logos, as well as the central armrest.
