AC SCHNITZER MAKES A GREAT PARTNERSHIP WITH THE M8 COMPETITION
AC Schnitzer is undoubtedly one of the most experienced trainers when it comes to BMW models, so it was only a matter of time for this German specialist to have in his hands the most powerful and elegant sports car from the Bavarian brand to take him even a little bit further. We are talking about the BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe by AC Schnitzer.
The German preparer shows in detail what is under the body of the German Gran Coupe, revealing not only a series of mechanical improvements to make it faster, but also small aesthetic touches that we are already used to.
The AC Schnitzer adjustments start with the V8 biturbo engine, which as standard offers 625 hp and 750 Nm. Now it delivers no less than 720 hp and 850 Nm. The engine improvement is also available for the standard M8, which can reach 700 hp and 850 Nm, in addition, both versions are accompanied by a new sports exhaust system from AC Schnitzer, which is offered with tips finished in Carbon Sport, Sport or Sport Black.
Highlight for the new set of 21-inch alloy wheels
However, as usual, the improvements do not stop there, because in terms of chassis the AC Schnitzer also optimized the suspension of the M8 to reduce its height by 15 mm at the rear and 20 mm at the front, and with that also the center of gravity. Other adjustments come in the aerodynamic part with the new parts that receives its four-door coupe body, such as a rear spoiler wider than the standard Competition, a new diffuser, side skirts and a front splitter, in addition to other details in fiber. carbon.
Of course, to finish off the set, there could be a new set of 21-inch alloy wheels (there are also 20), available with three different designs: AC3 ‘Evo’, AC3 BiColor and Type VIII. All of them are fitted with 275/30 R21 tires at the front and 285/30 R21 at the rear.
