TOYOTA

THE NEW SEQUOIA'S FIRST RECREATIONS

The Toyota Sequoia is the largest SUV of the Japanese brand in the United States. In addition, it is also one of the most veteran models of the company in the world, as its current generation was introduced in 2008, so it is fully justified to think that the replacement of this huge full size SUV should be around the corner.
However, until now we have not been able to see any test units on the street, not even an initial test mule. So we cannot guarantee that the development of this model is very advanced, and furthermore, the only information we have about the new generation is some statements from an internal company source that assures that the model will arrive in 2022.
Knowing the customs of Toyota North America, the only subsidiary of the Japanese brand that markets this model, if the information is correct, the new model will be presented earlier this year, although already as a 2023 model.
The Toyota Sequoia is the SUV body version of Toyota Tundra, the Japanese brand's successful full-service light-size pick-up, with which it shares its stringers, mechanics and transmissions chassis. So we can assume that the new Sequoia cannot be ready until the brand's engineers have finished the next generation of Tundra, which still has a long time to arrive.

Because no striking new Sequoia generation has emerged, we have no clue as to the new features that the new model could bring, as well as its renewed aesthetics. This series of recreations was carried out by Russian designer Nikita Chuiko, who basically transplanted the traces of the Japanese brand's latest launches into the body of a current Toyota Sequoia. We can see that the general features and proportions have been respected, but now we find a less rounded body with smoother panels, whose features now correspond to ribs and subtle lines of expression, as well as more stylized optics, based on their latest line brothers, as is the case with the new Toyota RAV4 and Toyota Highlander.
