TESLA

A Tesla Model X wrapped in yellow
Model Y: Now you can wrap the model

Last week, Musk said that; their Teslas are painted very well. There is a possibility that we have to take it out and are no longer able to verify ourselves. At some Tesla Delivery Centers, you can choose the Color Changed Car Jacket option starting this month, where they provide your Tesla with a fun package. And here they are not limited to gray, black, blue or red. As they show immediately with this funny yellow Tesla Model X.
There are some ifs and buts. The biggest point at the moment is that it appears to be mainly a Chinese party. Tesla made it known through Weibo, a kind of Chinese variant of Twitter. And the first cities are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Suzhou. Additional cities will not arrive until mid-August.

It is not clear whether the wrapping service also reaches other countries. However, Musk said earlier that the Cyber Truck can be wrapped. Although it was not clear at the time whether Tesla would also offer it. There are a few reasons why Tesla may choose the packaging. Partly due to the painting problems mentioned above. With this wrap, you protect the Tesla ink and therefore are less of a problem if the ink is of slightly lower quality.
In addition, it is also a little customization. After all, Teslas are produced in just five colors. As for the rest, you only have the option of a few hoops and sometimes a small spoiler. Choosing between all types of extensive spoiler and bumper packages, as is possible with certain (German) competitors, is missing from Tesla.

Tesla also has no production capacity available to supply all types of different colors and options. The more efficient, the better the Tesla mantra. Most Tesla customers don't seem to find such a boring color to be such a problem. And for the minority of customers? Well, Tesla now also offers wraps for this. As long as you live in China, then.
