BENTAYGA SPEED: Maximum luxury with maximum power

The Bentley Bentayga Speed 2021 arrives just two months after the presentation of the also updated Bentayga 2021. The newcomer has so far stood at the top of the line for the Bentley crossover and holds the title of the fastest SUV in the world, as it already boasted its predecessor. All thanks to a powerful 6.0 W12 biturbo engine that delivers 635 hp and 900 Nm of torque.
Similar performance data allows this spacecraft that weighs around 2,500 kg to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 306 km / h. A fact that allows the Bentayga Speed 2021 to be the fastest crossover of the moment, in front of its Italian 'cousin', the Lamborghini Urus.

It is worth remembering that although it is a luxury vehicle, its predecessor (which is basically the same car except for some details) currently also bears the title of fastest SUV in Pikes Peak.
Aesthetically it presents the same changes inspired by the Continental GT seen in the rest of the line, but with subtle differences to identify it as the Speed version.

In this sense, the highlights are darkened headlights, side skirts painted in body color, more aggressive bumpers, a more pronounced rear spoiler and 22-inch alloy wheels with specific design. To this can be added a Black Specification package that adds more elements in black - like the roof bars - and in carbon fiber - like the front deflector.

The Bentley Bentayga Speed 2021 reveals in its luxurious cabin a new steering wheel, seats, 12.3-inch digital control panel, a color Head-Up Display and a 10.9-inch screen for the infotainment system. In general, the interior of the Speed has darker tones and for the first time it has elements upholstered in Alcantara, such as the ceiling trim, the pillars, the steering wheel and the gear lever.

At the mechanical level, it uses the well-known 6.0 W12 biturbo engine. It is capable of producing 635 hp and what is even more impressive, 900 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 5,000 rpm. This huge block appears coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission and introduces an innovative (for Bentley) cylinder deactivation system that allows 'alternately' to erase each cylinder bench. This way, you can maintain an ideal operating temperature in the catalysts and reduce emissions when the 6 cylinders that were disconnected start working again.
