A FRENCH CHINESE PICK-UP OF GOOD TASTE

In the last month of February we got to know the aspect of the new Peugeot pick-up that will be marketed in certain international markets under the name Landtrek. Developed in collaboration with Changan, now it is the Chinese manufacturer's turn to show what their new model looks like for this segment.



Named Hunter, Changan's first medium-sized pick-up shares a large number of components with Peugeot, highlighting the use of certain elements such as the gearshift, instrumentation and door handles, which are very ‘French’. The overall design of the interior is also maintained so as not to raise costs.



The exterior features a generously sized grille and redesigned headlights, sharing the taillights at the rear. Alloy wheels, colors and solutions to support the load are specific to each brand. Recalling that this model will be marketed as Peugeot, Changan and also as Kaicene, a brand of commercial vehicles from Changan.





Depending on the version, you will be able to equip a multimedia system with 8.0 or 10 inch screen, browser, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, parking sensors, speed control and limiter, alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, leather-covered steering wheel , stability and traction controls and cruise control.



Other elements available are mixed fabric / leather upholstery, thermal mirrors, automatic climate control, assistant on starting on ramps, downhill control, tire pressure sensor, alarm, 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome exterior package, tinted windows, etc.

Interestingly, the mechanical supply is limited to a 1.9-liter diesel engine developed by Kunming Yunnei and not by PSA. The block delivers 150 hp of power and 350 Nm of maximum torque, and can be ordered with simple traction to the rear axle or four-wheel drive, but always with a six-speed manual transmission.
According to the market, other alternatives will also be offered with an Isuzu diesel engine of 2.5 liters and 116 hp, a 2.4-liter petrol block of Mitsubishi origin with 146 hp, and the interesting 2.0 BlueHDI of 180 hp manufactured by PSA for the units with automatic transmission.
