MOKKA-e ENTERS SCENE FULL-ELECTRIC 

The German manufacturer finally revealed the first images and official information of the new generation of the Opel Mokka, which changes its name, since it lost the surname 'X' and that in this new delivery also debuts a 100% electric version that was named Opel Mokka -and.
The German brand, today under the umbrella of the Groupe PSA, anticipated with these first images only the electric version and for the time being has not revealed details about the versions with thermal engine. However, the first images allow us to appreciate in detail the design of this new generation of the Opel crossover, which debuts countless new features in the visual part.





On the front, its LED optical groups integrated into the grid stand out, forming a single smooth and shiny part with the brand's logo in its center and the IntelliLux matrix LED headlights with a luminous signature for boomerang-shaped daytime lighting. A little further down, the bumper incorporates two additional grilles, a thin intermediate air intake and a larger one in the lower front section, which also includes anti-fog lights. Also noteworthy is the design of its rear pillar and the finish of the body with bicolor paint, which combines the green color with the hood, roof and mirrors in black.



With regard to the interior of the new electric Opel Mokka, a cabin appears that has undergone a profound redesign, an environment where quality materials and finishes are combined with abundant technology. It has configurable digital instrumentation, with a screen that extends until it integrates into the central console with the infotainment system, all with an orientation that was arranged for the driver.



It is an integrated information module that the brand called Opel Pure Panel, which brings together the 12-inch screen of the instrument panel, with a 10-inch screen for the multimedia system, which includes multiple connectivity options, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems, as well as integrated navigation.




But one of the main novelties of this new generation of the Opel Mokka is the one that arrived under the hood, since in this new delivery the German crossover debuts a 100% electric engine. This new generation of Mokka is supported by the architecture used by Peugeot e-2008, with which it still shares the same technologies. The Opel Mokka-e has a front electric motor of 136 hp and 260 Nm of maximum torque, which works together with a 50 kWh battery capacity, which according to the WLTP approval cycle is capable of offering 330 kilometers of autonomy. With a fast charge system the battery can pass in just 30 minutes from 0 to 80% of its capacity.
