The three-wheel electric car

Canadian company ElectraMeccanica has just announced that it has already started producing what it is calling "the car of the future". Solo, as the vehicle was properly named - after all, it only has capacity for one person -, is completely electric, measures a mere 3m in length and has only three wheels. Visually, it looks like a small car - like a Palio or Corsa - broken in half. But it is much more than that. The cart, which will be made in China, really has this futuristic footprint. 



Without polluting the environment and transporting just one person, it is equipped with the latest technology and perfect for handling in large cities. “In times of pandemic, a car for individual use will be very well accepted”, observes ElectraMeccanica's CEO, Paul Rivera. 



With an aluminum chassis and cabin protected by a tubular structure, the tricycle car will first reach the United States, where around 100 million people travel alone in their cars every day. The Solo has rear-wheel drive, a range of 160 km, reaches a top speed of 130 km/h and will cost US $ 18.5 thousand.
