NISSAN

GT-R50 BY ITALDESIGN DE PRODUCTION WAS PRESENTED IN THE TAZIO NUVOLARI CIRCUIT

In mid-2018 the spectacular Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign was presented. A reworked and heavily modified version of the Japanese sports car signed by the famous Italian bodybuilder. The reason for this peculiar union, the sporting star of the Japanese brand and the Italian designer belonging today to the German group Volkswagen, was due to the fact that both had just turned 50 years old.
The Nissan GT-R celebrated the 50th anniversary of its launch in 2019, while Italdesign was founded by Giorgio Giugiaro in 1968, so that 2 years ago it has reached no less than 50 since the company's founding. She now belongs to the VAG Group and neither Giorgio nor his son, Fabrizio, are part of it, but the company continues to do the same job today.
So the spectacular Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign is nothing more than a fantastic birthday present for both companies. Although initially presented in the form of a concept, the truth is that the original intention was always to manufacture a short and exclusive limited edition of the model and this week we were finally able to see the final production version, which really does not differ from the original prototype.

Nissan and Italdesign organized an online presentation at the Tazio Nuvolari circuit in Cervesina, the Italian track where Italdesign usually tests all of its vehicles, including the new Nissan GTR-50.
The specimen presented yesterday in Italy is only distinguished from the prototype revealed in 2018 by its color combination. If the original concept had a striking configuration that combined gray and gold, the production version revealed yesterday combines a kind of turquoise or very light greenish black with black, in addition to having a series of spellings on the outside.
If at the aesthetic level we did not find a single change, because even the elements of the aerodynamic kit are identical, at the mechanical level we will not find any differences either, because the model continues using the same 3.8 liter V6 engine supercharged and modified by Nismo, which under the hood this limited edition delivers 720 hp and 780 Nm of maximum torque. The company confirmed that production will be limited to only 50 units of which it has already warned that only a few remain available. Its price remains at a spectacular 990,000 euros ($ 1.08 million) or 5 times the price of the Nissan GT-R Nismo on which it is based.
