GEELY

PRESENTED IN CHINA A NEW RIVAL FOR NISSAN LEAF

In the middle of last April, a series of sketches appeared that made reference to the new model of Geometry (here), Geely's new electric car brand. A model whose exterior design was fully discovered thanks to the dissemination of some images. This is the new Geometry C, which is designed to play a very important role in the Chinese market.
The project is known internally under the GE13 code, and once it arrives at Chinese dealers, it will position itself as a truly captivating alternative to Nissan LEAF itself. But we must not lose sight of other homemade proposals from the Asian giant, such as the Xpeng G3. In addition, the new Geometry tram has a very interesting advantage. We are facing a compact that shows traits typical of a crossover.
The exterior of Geometry C has characteristic features of the design language that this Chinese company is following. We must pay special attention to the grid, the optical groups with LED technology and the line as well as the drop that adopts the ceiling. The truth is that it quickly resembles the Geely Emgrand GS. The Geometry C measures 4,432 mm in length, 1,833 mm in width, 1,560 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

For now we still have no images of the interior, but the information available so far allows us to imagine a most technological cabin, since it will equip a floating touch screen located on the center console and with a size of 12.3 inches. The infotainment system will have a high level of connectivity and there will also be a long list of driving assistance systems.
The Geometry C will be powered by a single electric motor located on the front axle and which will develop a power that will slightly exceed 200 hp. The maximum torque will reach 310 Nm. In addition, Geometry will offer lithium-ion batteries with two capacities: 51.9 and 61.9 kWh. The first of these will allow the approval of a range of 400 kilometers, while the larger capacity will increase the range up to 550 km. In any case the maximum speed will be 150 km/h

The presentation of Geometry C was scheduled for last April at the Beijing 2020 Salon. However, and because of the coronavirus pandemic, this event was postponed to September. Marketing is expected to start in July. When the launch date approaches, all details about this new model will be provided.
