Q8 by WHEELSANDMORE: a monster with over 1,000 hp

Since Mercedes-Benz and BMW had launched on the market their high-performance SUVs with power levels typical of the best sports cars of the moment, Audi would not be behind and therefore developed the RS Q8, a direct rival of the X6 M and AMG GLE Coupe. Its 600 HP has greatly intensified the fight so that the design could be one of the key points to opt for one or the other. However, after passing through the hands of Wheelsandmore specialists, those who want an authentic monster, will be delighted by the model of the four hoops.
It is not easy to propose a project on an engine that at the factory offers such high levels of yield, because for very few it would pass through the head to improve the original figures. This German specialist did it, and the result left everyone open-mouthed, since not every day we see an Audi RS Q8 with more than 1,000 hp of power hidden under the hood. To achieve this feat, Wheelsandmore has prepared five different levels that will add components until you reach this crazy figure.

First of all, it should be remembered that the 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 powertrain used by the German SUV develops 600 hp of power and a maximum torque of 800 Nm, which are transmitted to the asphalt through an eight-speed automatic transmission and the well-known quattro traction system. With Step 1, the engine benefits from an ECU optimized to increase its numbers up to 710 hp and 920 Nm, thanks to this the RS Q8 accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds.
Step 2, for its part, adds to this engine reprogramming an exhaust line signed by Capristo, which replaces the original silencers with less restrictive ones. This translates to 725 hp and 930 Nm. To find a high-performance air filter and optimized intake manifolds it will be necessary to proceed to step 3, which extracts from the V8 a total of 786 hp and 1,060 Nm. Now, if the customer is looking for a remarkable increase in power they should resort to step 4, which incorporates innovative larger turbo compressors with reinforced bearings.

The result shows impressive 965 hp and 1,250 Nm.
So far everything remains under the corresponding TÜV approval, but for those who want to go even further, step 5 is reserved. First of all it should be noted that in Germany it is not legal and to develop brutal 1,010 hp of power and 1,250 Nm of maximum torque, the preparer chose to install a competition exhaust system, which gets rid of the catalysts, particle filters and some silencers. The price of all this is 41,933 euros.

Last but not least, the RS Q8 also benefits from visual improvements, specifically from unique 24-inch wheels that go sidewalk with Vredestein tires measuring 295/30 on the front axle and 355/25 on the rear. In addition, the height of the vehicle decreases thanks to a LowMaXX kit that can be controlled through the smartphone.
