Brabus turns the Mercedes G63 into an 800 HP pick-up truck

Brabus has sure built some crazy high-powered machines over the past few years. However, their latest model might just be their wildest yet. The German tuner has just converted the Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV into a pickup truck. Did we mention that it also packs an 800 horsepower engine under the hood and even has a landing pad for your drone?
Officially called the 800 Adventure XLP, it's based on a standard Mercedes-AMG G63. However, it has been extensively modified by Brabus to turn it into the wild off-roader seen here. Powering it still the familiar 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. However, larger turbos and an ECU tune help push power output to 800 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.
Thanks to the upgrade, Brabus claims the 800 Adventure XLP can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds. However, top speed has been limited to only 210 km/h because of the chunky 22-inch off-road tires.



If you're wondering how Brabus pulled off the conversion, the tuner first extended the wheelbase by 500mm. As a result, the vehicle now measures in at 5.31 meters long, about 690mm longer than a standard G63 excluding the spare wheel. This also allowed the tuner to slap on a steel and carbon pickup bed at the back of the G Wagen. Despite the modifications, the tuner says the vehicle retains the G-Class's torsional rigidity.



Aside from the longer wheelbase, the 800 Adventure XLP also rides higher with thanks to Brabus' new portal axle suspension – similar to what you'd find in the G500 4x4 squared. It now offers 490mm of ground clearance as a result. As it is a Brabus, there's plenty of carbon fiber parts together with new bodywork. Changes include a vented hood, bullbar with integrated winch and a luggage rack to store your gear. You can also add the optional take off and landing pad for a drone made by Wingcopter.



Customers can customize their 800 Adventure XLP to their liking including multiple color options and upholstery choices. As it is a Brabus, the G63 pickup does not come cheap. Price starts at around £330,000 (Php 21.7 million) for a stock 800 Adventure XLP. For that price, it doesn't include the drone landing pad yet.
